Baby Maria was christened at Nottingham’s Greek Orthodox Church, St Mary Eleousa, on Derby Road.  Maria was very well behaved and looked beautiful in her christening gown.  Later family and friends attended a wonderful reception at The Village Hotel, in Beeston.  The children were treated to face painting by local face painter Dawn Booth, of Fun faces, www.fantasyfunfaces.co.uk.   The pictures I took really capture the essence of the occasion. Dressed to impress: David Smith and Val Harbron, who were married wearing period costumes at St. Helen’s Church in Burton Joyce, Nottingham.  The couple were engaged on February 14th, Val’s birthday, around 14 years ago. Wedding guests also wore authentic period outfits.

A super wedding, I felt as though I’d travelled backwards in time in one of H G Well’s Time Machines. For me it was a truly unique experience that left me thinking how weddings must have been years ago, well before cameras were invented!

The announcement that Prince William & Kate Middleton are to marry next year has certainly ended a lot of speculation.   Their lavish wedding ceremony  to be held at West Minster Abbey, on the 29th April, will be viewed by millions from all over the World.  Already wedding providers are reporting increased demand for their services as interest grows in what will be a spectacular day not only for Wills & Kate but for the entire nation.

2011 will be a great year for weddings I’m sure - the Royal Wedding has been the stimulus that those employed in the wedding industry were looking for, a real shot in the arm!

Over one hundred recently graduated nurses from Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre were there, all looking absolutely fabulous in their stunning Ball gowns.

Sarah & Sam’s wedding ceremony, held at The West Bridgford Registry Office, was a smash hit with family and friends.   Here’s a selection of some of my favourite images taken on the day, please press thumbnail to view full size.

Their Reception took place at the Reindeer Inn, a lovely little pub, at East Bridgford, that serves up wonderful food.  At sunset I took some super pictures, in the gardens, using the warm golden light as the sun was slowly sinking beyond the horizon.

Carla & Daniel enjoyed their Civil Ceremony in the lovely Chapel at Bestwood Lodge, followed by Wedding Breakfast in the restaurant.   Throughout the day the sun shone and smiling newly weds made this a day that I’ll remember, a truly super day.
